Hello,

First I wanna say that I'm using DVD2Xbox from the begining and this app just rock! Thanks

I primary use it to copy games to PC / HDD but sometimes I like to backup a movie to my HDD and I know that XBMC can play only the vobs. But I live in the Netherlands and many movies come in multiple languages (both sub and audio). But the annoying thing is that sometimes when I copy certain movies to my HDD. For example the first 2 vobs are with english audio and then the next vob is suddenly e.g. with french audio and then the others are with another languages within the same movie...So I can't watch the movie properly

This happen like 6/10 times with the movies I copy with DVD2Xbox that have multiple audio. If I copy for e.g. a movie with only english audio DVD2Xbox works fine!

Am I doing something wrong or can you make the possibility that with DVD2Xbox you first can select the audio files you want to copy to HDD?

THNX

dvd2xbox uses the libdvdread and libdvdcss library which is also used in a few linux media players. I don't think that it causes the problem. It takes the whole vob, decrypts it and dvd2xbox just saves it to the hdd.
I could be wrong but i think this is due to XBMC rather than dvd2xbox.

So you think the problem lays within XBMC for selecting the wrong audio files with the selected vobs?

You could test it. Copy the whole dvd (vobs, ifo, everthing) previously copied with dvd2xbox on your PC and play it with PowerDVD or similar. You should be able to change languages there.

I tried this and played the files with PowerDVD and your right..So it's a problem within XBMC. So since XBMC doesn't support DVD-Video menu/navigation yet there is nothing I can do to get the right audio, Am I correct? I could rip the DVD to my PC first and make for example a Divx movie of it and then FTP it back to my Xbox, but then the whole point for DVD2Xbox copy DVD movies to HDD is useless for me...because XBMC doesn't play the correct audio files?...

I don't know so much about DVD structures but there's a folder with audio files only you can't see them on XBMC filemanagers and Xcommander but if they could be visible maybe then I could delete the audio files that I don't need or does it not work like that? THNX

The dvd copy feature is just for completeness in a DVD/CD ripper.
In normal cases I would prever to rip and encode it on the PC.
The AudioTS folder would be just for pure Audio DVDs. Never have seen one but the shouldl exist.
The audio files of the DVD are stored inside the VOB files together with the video stream.

Ok that cleared some things up..THNX

But also do you have any ideas how to get the right audio files in XBMC or do you think XBMC is not capable of doing it yet?

Sorry, no idee yet. Maybe you try to ask in the XBMC forum.

Ok THNX for your help! I think I just wait for XBMC to support DVD menu.
