|
|
I'm stumped. I have been searching the forums for an answer but can't find one.
I have 400gb, slayer 2.6, 4981 bios and upgrade from dvd2xbox 6.3 to dvd2xbox 7.0. The 6.3 version was working great, but when I update to 7.0, I can't back-up or copy to the f drive.
I have:
1. checked evox.ini and f drive is enabled
2. checked f drive under xbox settings is yes
3. checked dvd2xbox settings and f drive is yes.
4. checked dvd2xbox.xml and f drive is listed in gamedirs
So, I'm stumped.
I noticed sometimes when I try to change the f drive settings in the dvd2xbox if won't let me change the f or g drive. I have to go into the 0facfac0 udata/tdata and erase everything to be able to turn f drive yes/no.
Any information would be appreciated. |

What is the error? Aren't you able to choose the f: drive in the file manager or at the destination prompt? Can you choose it and nothing appears after the copy? What does the report screen show?
You can't choose the drives manually if partition autodetect is enabled. Turn it off to be able to change the settings manually. |

The error is that I choose the f drive and nothing appears after the copy. The folder appears, but nothing is in the folder.
Autodetect is disabled in the dvd2xbox settings.
I'm able to choose the f drive at the destination prompt.
When I choose the f drive the dvd2xbox reads the disc (top status bar), but doesn't write from the disc (bottom bar). I know that the disc doesn't write to the hard drive because the "remaning free space" doesn''t decrease.
The report screen showed:
files copied: 513
failed to copy: 0
files renamed: 0
copy duration: 0:06:26 |

This usually happens when the f: drive isn't formatted or not mounted. Since f: drive is enabled in dvd2xbox and your f: drive seems to work fine with other apps I don't have a clue whats going on.
Regarding the changelog nothing special changed on the copy modul. Are you able to copy to the f: drive via the file manager?
Is 0.6.3 still working? |

I wasn't able to copy using file manager and couldn't figure out the problem.
I erased everything in the dvd2xbox folder and install/upgrade using slayer 2.6 and now its works, except that is 0.5.9.
I'm think I must have done something wrong upgrading.
What is the best way to upgrade?:
-Overwrite everything with the newer version?
-Delete everything, then put newer version in?
-Combination of both?
P.S. Thanks for all the help with my first problem. |

The best way ist to backup the old directory then remove it and put in the new version. All archives include all necessary files.
The savest would be also to delete the gamesave before (dvd2xbox should do this per default with new versions if needed but this seems to have a flaw in 0.7.0). |

I deleted to newer verison of dvd2xbox 0.7.0 because I couldn't get it to work. I upgrade install/upgrade c & f from slayer 2.6. Now I have an older version of dvd2xbox and now I'm noticing some of my files from my movie collection are not all there. Is this because of dvd2xbox or another program?
400gb, slayer 2.6, 4981 bios
thanks |

| You should probably check your harddisk somehow. dvd2xbox doesn't delete anything if you don't want it. |

| I had a problem like this, I just backed everything up on my computer and reformated my 300gb Hdd using the x3 live config, slayers are a good tool but sometiemes you gotta get nasty. After I did this I had a clean install and went to version 2.9 dvd2xbox seemed to do the trick. If you have a lot of games just ftp in to your Hdd and try removing dvd2xbox and try the version right below 7.0 it does the same thing if all you wanna do is back up games and dvd's. It sounds like you will get to the heart of the problem :D |
