|

I saw a scene thread where WiSo says dvd2xbox can copy games xbox to xbox.
(when the dvd2xbox copy works but nothing copies it right.)
(The game freezes and it's not a cache issue.)
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=440053
HOW do you do this?
There is no instruction manual and when I do the following, I fail to get a 1 to 1 copy of the game folder. Version 7.0 of dvd2xbox on both boxes.
Here is what I am doing
1) Navigate to Settings/Network and enable FTP server and Network on both xboxes,
2) Go into file manager, to the right window, Pull R-trigger, Hit Ftp.
3) Enter ftp address, press A, connect and go to Ftp:/G/Games.
4) Select the left window, pull R-trigger, go to F:/Games and put the cursor on the wolfenstein folder.. (I can't hilight it or only the folder itself copies. Empty. Wierd.)
On the left side window we are in F:/Games and the cursor is on wolfenstein. On the right side window we are in FTP:/G/Games where we want to transfer the wolfenstein folder, right?
5) Pull L-trigger, go to Copy file/dir and press the A button.
It looks like it's copying correctly with no errors coming up, but the copy is not proper at all.
All of the xbe files get renamed like "wolfensteindefault.xbe" and moved directly into the G:\ folder
I get files missing from every subfolder.
Wierd new files show up in dvd2xbox with names like GGamesWolfenstein(filename)
Why is this not making a 1 to 1 copy of the wolfenstein folder to the other xbox? Is this the wrong way, and what is the right way? |

You seemed to do it right. Could be another bug and need more testing by me.
Thanks,

Could reproduce it when copying from local to remote ftp server (put). It works if you copy it from the remote server to the local drive (get).
Latter one is rather slow and you should take another ftp client. I'll propably implement the XBMC client but at the moment I can't concentrate and nothing works :-| |

| Fixed in next version. It worked on the standard linux ftp server but not with filezilla. Now it works on both. |
