when i try to rip games to my pc over the netword i get a message that i cannot rip acl through the network.. but i turned the 2 acl options off in the settings. i looked all around for info on this but i cant seem to find it. if anyone can point me in the right direction, or tell me simply what i am overlooking i'd be one happy camper. thanks.

It's just a bug that the message appears. You can left ACL processing on because it's not implemented to run via the network. Just ignore it :)

but the message cancels the cd ripping, so ignoring it wont be of much help.
the error message appears and then i am taken to what appears to be a results screen telling me that 0 files were transfered and all that. :/
anything you can think of that'd cause that?

Uh thats curious then something else is wrong and it has nothing todo with the ACL processing. Most probably it either can't write to the share or it doesn't recognize the inserted medium (look at the bottom status line).
Make sure using the newest build ( 0.7.8 ) and that the given user has all rights to write to the share.
